Watching, I can’t help but see the shadows of these animals’ prehistoric ancestry and chuckle. All it takes is watching an Egret hunt for a few minutes, or a Hawk dropping out of the trees onto its prey, to contemplate the absolute menace they would be if they were the size of their dinosaur ancestors.

Macro photography allows me to focus on small subjects up close, revealing textures and patterns that are usually missed at a normal viewing distance.
